A collection of works by British artist and curator Lubaina Himid, who won the Turner Prize, one of the most prestigious awards in contemporary art, in 2017.
This book introduces the large-scale paintings and installations that the artist will present at the British Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale (2026).
Through her paintings, prints, and installations, the artist continues to explore race, feminism, and cultural memory, particularly highlighting the overlooked influence of Black immigrant communities on the formation of Western culture. This book primarily introduces large-scale multi-panel paintings set in fantastical and magical spaces, rendered in the artist's signature vivid colours.
