A collection of works by American photographer Jeffrey Conley. This book is a remastered and expanded edition of REVERENCE, the author's second photography book published in 2018. At the time, it sold out upon publication and has since become a highly coveted book among collectors. This new edition adds 11 works to the 50 featured in the original, all printed in an even more beautiful duotone than the previous edition on Korean-made natural-material paper.

The author's expertise, not only as an artist but also as a printmaker, is evident in his use of both silver gelatin and platinum-palladium prints to create complex, intimate, and expansive works. In addition, the author has perfected the delicate balance between simplicity and complexity, subtle nuances and boldness.

“For as long as I can remember, I have felt most at peace outdoors. Nature has always been my refuge and sanctuary. I find the natural world to be endlessly wondrous in its range of character and texture, from moments of delicate intimacy and subtlety to the massively expansive and powerful. Nature is in constant change, and photography is particularly well suited to capture and amplify the swirling fluidity and the wonderfully serendipitous moments born of the ephemeral. Photographing nature is a very specific kind of exercise in mindfulness; to be out in nature with senses responsive, keenly aware of circumstances and completely receptive, yielding to the present. The photographs in this book represent some of my observations while investigating nature over these last several years; moments that represent my awe, wonder, and affinity towards our Earth. — Jeffrey Conley

“Go into nature and be still... and you will hear the heart of nature beating. Sometimes I go to the mountains, and sometimes I go to the woods, and there I rest and listen. And when I come back, I know that I have been renewed.” — John Muir (1838–1914)

Nazraeli Press is pleased to announce our remastered and expanded edition of Jeffrey Conley’s second monograph, Reverence. Originally published in 2018, Reverence sold out upon publication and has since become a collectible and sought-after monograph. This new edition features 11 additional images as well as the original 50, all reproduced duotone to the highest standards on natural Korean art paper.

Known for his meticulously crafted black and white prints, which have been widely exhibited and collected in the United States and abroad, Jeffrey Conley has been the subject of four monographs and seen his work exhibited and collected by public and private institutions throughout the United States and Europe. Conley lives and works in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
